# Google Calendar

> Create and sync events with Google Calendar

Macaly connects to Google Calendar so the agent can manage your schedule for you. Ask it to create an event, check your availability, or find a free slot, or have it pull your calendar into the app you're building.

## What is Google Calendar?

Google Calendar is Google's time-management and scheduling service for events, meetings, and reminders. With the Google Calendar integration, Macaly's agent works with your calendars directly: it creates and updates events, checks availability, and brings your schedule into your project.

## What you can do

A few examples of what the agent can do with Google Calendar:

* **Create and update events.** Add events (including quick natural-language scheduling), reschedule or edit them, and remove or move them between calendars.
* **Read and search your schedule.** List and find events across one or all of your calendars, and look up the details of any event.
* **Find a time that works.** Check free and busy slots to schedule around everyone's availability.
* **Manage calendars.** Create new calendars, list the ones you have, and update their settings.
* **Control sharing.** Manage who has access to a calendar with access rules.

## How it works

You describe what you want in the chat, and the agent handles the rest. Ask for a one-off task, or have the agent build Google Calendar right into your project.

**Ask the agent directly:**

```
Add a 30-minute "Design review" to my calendar tomorrow at 2pm
and invite jane@example.com.
```

```
What does my schedule look like next Tuesday, and when am I free
for a one-hour call that afternoon?
```

**Or build it into your app:**

```
Build a booking page where visitors pick a free slot from my
Google Calendar, and create the event when they book.
```

```
I'm building a team dashboard. Show this week's events from our
shared Google Calendar as an agenda list.
```

## Good to know

* **You connect once.** Authorize your Google account the first time, and the agent reuses that connection for later requests.
* **Destructive actions ask first.** Clearing a calendar or deleting events can't be undone, so the agent confirms with you before doing it.
* **Your account, your control.** The agent only acts when you ask it to, and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings at any time.
