# Google Drive

> Upload, search, and manage files in Google Drive

Macaly connects to Google Drive so the agent can work with your files for you. Ask it to upload a document, find a file, or share a folder, or have it pull files from your Drive into the app you're building.

## What is Google Drive?

Google Drive is Google's cloud storage service for files, folders, and documents. With the Google Drive integration, Macaly's agent works with your Drive directly: it uploads and downloads files, organizes folders, manages sharing, and brings your files into your project.

## What you can do

A few examples of what the agent can do with Google Drive:

* **Upload and download files.** Add files to Drive (including from a URL), update their content, and download them to use in your project.
* **Organize your Drive.** Create folders, move and copy files, rename them, and trash or restore what you don't need.
* **Find anything.** Search across your Drive for files and folders by name, type, or content.
* **Share and control access.** Manage permissions and sharing for files and folders, and work with shared drives.
* **Collaborate and export.** Add and read comments, and export Google Workspace docs to other formats like PDF.

## How it works

You describe what you want in the chat, and the agent handles the rest. Ask for a one-off task, or have the agent build Google Drive right into your project.

**Ask the agent directly:**

## Good to know

* **You connect once.** Authorize your Google account the first time, and the agent reuses that connection for later requests.
* **Sharing changes are real.** The agent can change who has access to your files, so be specific about what to share and with whom.
* **Your account, your control.** The agent only acts when you ask it to, and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings at any time.
