# Google Photos

> Upload, search, and organize photos in Google Photos

Macaly connects to Google Photos so the agent can work with your photos for you. Ask it to upload images, build an album, or find a photo, or have it pull photos from your library into the app you're building.

## What is Google Photos?

Google Photos is Google's cloud photo storage and organization service, with backups, search, and sharing. With the Google Photos integration, Macaly's agent works with your library directly: it uploads and downloads media, organizes albums, searches photos, and brings images into your project.

## What you can do

A few examples of what the agent can do with Google Photos:

* **Upload and download photos.** Upload images and videos to Google Photos, and download media items to use in your project.
* **Organize albums.** Create albums, add media to them, update an album's title or cover, and add enrichments like text or location.
* **Find your media.** Search your library and list or fetch specific photos and albums.
* **Update details.** Edit a photo's description and keep your library tidy.

## How it works

You describe what you want in the chat, and the agent handles the rest. Ask for a one-off task, or have the agent build Google Photos right into your project.

**Ask the agent directly:**

```
Upload these images to Google Photos and put them in a new album
called "Launch event".
```

```
Search my Google Photos for last summer's beach photos and give
me the download links.
```

**Or build it into your app:**

```
Build a gallery page that pulls the photos from my "Portfolio"
Google Photos album and shows them in a grid.
```

```
I'm building an event site. Let guests upload photos that go
straight into a shared Google Photos album.
```

## Good to know

* **You connect once.** Authorize your Google account the first time, and the agent reuses that connection for later requests.
* **The agent works with its own uploads.** Google Photos only lets apps list and manage the media they uploaded, so the agent sees app-created items and what you point it to, not your entire library.
* **Your account, your control.** The agent only acts when you ask it to, and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings at any time.
