# YouTube

> Upload videos, manage playlists, and pull YouTube data

Macaly connects to YouTube so the agent can manage your videos and channel for you. Ask it to upload a video, organize a playlist, or pull your channel stats, or have it bring your YouTube content into the app you're building.

## What is YouTube?

YouTube is the world's largest video platform, where creators upload, share, and grow audiences around video content. With the YouTube integration, Macaly's agent works with your channel directly: it manages videos and playlists, fetches channel data, handles comments, and brings your videos into your project.

## What you can do

A few examples of what the agent can do with YouTube:

* **Manage videos.** Upload videos, update their title, description, tags, and thumbnail, rate them, and delete your own.
* **Organize playlists.** Create, update, and delete playlists, and add, reorder, or remove the videos in them.
* **Pull channel data.** Fetch channel statistics, recent activity, and a channel's videos, and search YouTube for videos, channels, or playlists.
* **Handle comments.** Post comments and replies, edit or delete your own, and set moderation status on your videos.
* **Work with subscriptions and captions.** Subscribe or unsubscribe to channels, and list, download, or update caption tracks.

## How it works

You describe what you want in the chat, and the agent handles the rest. Ask for a one-off task, or have the agent build YouTube right into your project.

## Good to know

* **You connect once.** Authorize your YouTube account the first time, and the agent reuses that connection for later requests.
* **Uploads and deletes are real.** The agent uploads, edits, and deletes videos on your actual channel, so be specific — deleting a video can't be undone.
* **Your account, your control.** The agent only acts when you ask it to, and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings at any time.
