Macaly connects to Google Sheets so the agent can work with your spreadsheets for you. Ask it to build a sheet, update some rows, or pull a range of data, or have it read and write your Sheets from the app you’re building.

What is Google Sheets?

Google Sheets is Google’s cloud-based spreadsheet tool for data and real-time collaboration. With the Google Sheets integration, Macaly’s agent works with your spreadsheets directly: it creates sheets, reads and writes data, builds charts, and brings spreadsheet data into your project.

What you can do

A few examples of what the agent can do with Google Sheets:
  • Create and read spreadsheets. Make a new spreadsheet, add sheets, and read values from any range, or look up and aggregate specific rows.
  • Write and update data. Append rows, update or clear ranges, and upsert rows (update by key or add new ones).
  • Find and organize. Search your spreadsheets, find-and-replace, sort and filter, and insert, delete, hide, or resize rows and columns.
  • Format and validate. Apply cell formatting and conditional rules, and add data validation like dropdowns.
  • Visualize. Create, update, and delete charts from your data.

How it works

You describe what you want in the chat, and the agent handles the rest. Ask for a one-off task, or have the agent build Google Sheets right into your project. Ask the agent directly:
Or build it into your app:

Good to know

  • You connect once. Authorize your Google account the first time, and the agent reuses that connection for later requests.
  • Edits change your real spreadsheet. The agent writes to and clears cells in the actual sheet, so be specific about ranges.
  • Your account, your control. The agent only acts when you ask it to, and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings at any time.
