Macaly connects to Linear so the agent can manage your issues and projects for you. Ask it to file an issue, update a status, or summarize your backlog, or have it pull your Linear work into the app you’re building.

What is Linear?

Linear is an issue tracker and project management tool for software teams. With the Linear integration, Macaly’s agent works with your Linear workspace directly: it creates and updates issues, organizes projects and cycles, and brings your work into your project.

What you can do

A few examples of what the agent can do with Linear:
  • Manage issues. Create, update, assign, and prioritize issues, set their state and due date, and search or list them across teams and projects.
  • Organize work. Create projects and milestones, post project updates, and group issues with labels.
  • Plan with cycles. Look up teams, cycles (sprints), and workflow states to plan and track work.
  • Collaborate. Add comments and reactions, link related issues, and attach files.
  • Pull in your data. Fetch issues, projects, and users to bring your Linear work into your project.

How it works

You describe what you want in the chat, and the agent handles the rest. Ask for a one-off task, or have the agent build Linear right into your project. Ask the agent directly:
Or build it into your app:

Good to know

  • You connect once. Authorize your Linear account the first time, and the agent reuses that connection for later requests.
  • Edits apply to your real workspace. The agent creates and updates actual Linear issues and projects, so be specific about what you want.
  • Your account, your control. The agent only acts when you ask it to, and you can revoke access from your Linear settings at any time.
